BILL TUTTY WITH HIS MATE BOB
DIVING FROM WEYMOUTH SHIP WRECK PROJECT
IN MEMORY OF MY FRIENDS
CONTACT ME HERE

This boat was full of old vegetable boxes when we found it. It was in a side street allotment and  had been there for years , the owner of the allotment said I could have it…. if I could move it.

Well, we managed to get it round to my friend’s timber yard and spent week’s fibre glassing the hull to seal it,

We called it the Viking long boat and we fitted it with two old side engines for power, one seagull 5hp on one side and our main 25hp British Anzani engine on the other but we had  no oars, no radio, no flares, no anchor and very little sense!!!.  We used it for diving for months until  in bad weather  both engines got swamped  and we ran aground on the rocks and sank a few of the lads lost their gear and they never came again.
