This was a big container being lifted
into a platform between two levels. Inside the container was a galley, sleeping cabins, office, showers…in fact everything
you would need to live there.
You can just see me giving signals to the crane driver.
Dick (Speedy) was my traveling companion, we always had a few drinks in Lagos
before we left and if you look at the picture you’ll see that I used to smoke a pipe ….. it wasn’t a problem
on flights in the early days.
